Materials & Application
What Are Our Freezer Labels Made From?
Our Freezer Labels are printed on matt white paper, combined with a woodfree kraft backing paper (basic Weight of 66 g/m2). They also have a special adhesive that has been tested to be effective down to minus 40°C, making them ideal for food labeling in cold temperatures. But when applying or re-positioning, this should be done above 0°C, ideally when you are first applying them to the product.

It’s important to ensure you’re using the correct label for the particular application, and so using our regular printing labels would not be ideal for freezer use. These labels have been made specifically for colder temperatures, and are ideal for personal and business use where food, drink or other perishable materials need to be stored clearly.

How Can You Print on Freezer Labels?
You can easily print information on these labels by using both laser or inkjet printers, as well as in photocopying machines, or you can simply hand write on the labels if that’s most convenient for you. We also have a number of free templates that you can download to help you with positioning the text within the labels, making them tidier and easier to read.

Our ‘How to Print on Labels’ page has lots of information on how best to print on labels, and give helpful guides to do this. Just choose a template, download it, and then use it within your prefered software.
Label Usage
What uses do these labels have?
Although these labels are created explicitly for freezer use, they can be used in a number of different ways, including, but not limited to:

Food Labelling
We know how important it is to accurately label food you’re storing, whether it has allergy information, use by or sell-by dates, ingredients and cooking instructions. This is especially important for businesses reliant on strict labeling and tracking, but can also be significant for home use, as food can often be forgotten about in the freezer, meaning you might not know when it was bought or cooked.

Medical/Research Sample Labelling
Being able to easily identify samples and other items used for research is extremely important, and so these labels could be key in that process. As stated previously, these labels have been tested down to minus 40°C, and so will work at temperatures in this range should your freezer be set within it.

Perishables Storage
These labels can also be used for any perishables or other items that are being stored in freezers. It can sometimes be difficult to clearly see something that has been frozen, so these labels can help clearly define what it is.

However you use them, you can rest assured that our freezer labels will stay put!
